One of my favorite places to go lies just outside the city center. While we are counting our last days of our 'renovation' vacation it's the perfect place to relax after a whole day of sanding and painting.

Winter knits in Summer.

I'm one of those that can't stop knitting. Even with the heatwave from a week ago you will still find me working with needles and wool. Here are a couple of personal knits I finnished these last weeks/months. All in an unintentional neutral color palette.

KNOP, an interesting quick and modern knit
Henriette from Alice Hammer, I'm a big fan of all her patterns
• Puff clutch, my own design. I made this one for a wedding and I'm in love with the alpaca wool in combination with the leather.
Maybe I make this in to a small collection one day.
Textured Shawl, never thought I would ever knit a shawl but this was a fun knit with a nice texture.

I'm always on the look for modern temporary knits so if you have some tips for me please share. And you? Do you like knitting in Summer or are working on a Summer-project?

Citygarden - part 2

So what happened in our citygarden the past two months... a lot has changed since last time.

Everything that was sowed inside was repotted many times, so that tiny plants would'nt grow to much at once and get sturdy roots. I repotted my tomatoes 4 times and only placed them outside when they showed flowers. It makes me so happy to see those first tiny tomatoes. We planted 10 types and got 17 plants in total.  We got some salad, strawberries, mint, eggplant, paprika, artichoke, lemon cucumber (I got from Claudia, thank you yet again!) and many herbs. I even harvested my first radishes a view weeks ago and they tasted delicious and can't wait to try out more.

Hi! How are you? Again it has been such a long time. I've been busy with our roofgarden (more about that later) and with a new fabric design.

I'm a big fan of screenprinting since I tried it a couple of times at school and last year at the academie. But never did dare to undertake this procces on my own. Oh well, life is about taking risks and challanges...  after a lot of hesitation last weekend, I turned our bathroom into a darkroom and our kitchen into a printing place.

The illustration design is inspired by old knitting patterns and printed on linen. I'm pretty exited about this and trying out some designs that will show up in the shop at the beginning of June.

 At other places:

• You can find a -15% coupon in this weeks Flow Weekly for the shop (sorry, Dutch readers only).
• I went to the inspiring exhibition of Carll Cneut.
• Knitting lost of tiny projects in between. I'm on Ravelry, you can follow me there if you want.
• Enjoying and getting inspired trough the Woolfull podcast while knitting.
• Happy mail days / plant swaps this week here!
